Furnish materials, labor, and equipment necessary to construct a secured fenced area for bus parking at Waialua Elementary School. I. Fence Location
a. The location of the new fenced area will be discussed at the mandatory
prebid meeting.
b. The approximate size of the enclosure is 14 feet wide, 20 feet deep and
12 feet high.
II. Chain Link Fencing & Gates
a. Contractor shall construct a 12 feet high chain link enclosure with a double
7 feet gate at the front and a chain link cover on top.
b. All fence materials, footing sizes and footing depth shall be as shown on
the attached sketches SKE-1 and SKE-2. All work shall be per manufacturer's specifications and recommendations, and shall be performed to industry standards. Contractor must follow all current local city & county codes, current international building codes. Along with the Manufacturer's standard material warranty, the contractor shall provide a one-year written warranty for defects in materials and workmanship on this project. Upon award of a purchase order, the contractor may purchase materials, prefabricate gates and do other preparations. On site work must be coordinated with the school. All Department of Education (DOE) jobs require contractors and subcontractors to pay the prevailing wage to all workers on the job. All DOE jobs require that contractors submit a current certificate of compliance from Hawaii Compliance Express (HCE) at the time of award and final payment. All DOE jobs awarded in excess of $2,000.00 require that contractors and subcontractors submit certified payroll affidavits. All DOE Jobs awarded in the amount of $50,000.00 or more require that the contractor submit a performance bond in the amount of the award before a purchase order can be issued. This job is tentatively scheduled to commence upon award of a purchase order and must be completed by March 31, 2023 To be eligible to submit a bid, the bidder must possess a valid State of Hawaii contractor's license classification C-32.
