This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Corporation of the County of Northumberland (the "County") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Scheduled Bi-Annual Preventative Maintenance of Weigh Scales and Additional Service or Emergency Repairs as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the "Deliverables"). Northumberland County is requesting quotes providing for Scheduled Bi-Annual Preventative Maintenance of Weigh Scales and Additional Service or Emergency Repairs on an as and when required basis for a period of two (2) years with the option to extend for up to an additional two (2), two (2) year periods to the County of Northumberland in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Quotation. The County operates three (3) Community Recycling Centre's (CRC) that accept waste materials delivered by customers, and one (1) Material Recovery Facility (MRF) where blue box materials are delivered by outside contractors generated from curbside collections, and various end market buyers hauling 53-foot trailers with separated baled blue box materials. All customers and outside contractors are required to weigh in and out of each site over the on-site weigh scales. Service is the essence of this agreement.
