The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all appurtenances, tools, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary to renovate the existing Lively Pointe Youth Center's computer lab into two recording studios, together with all associated appurtenances to complete this project in the City of Irving. The City of Irving (the "City") is contracting for renovations for the Lively Pointe Youth Center Recording Studio Project, which is located in a CDBG-eligible area. The Project will be financed in whole or in part with assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is subject to all applicable Federal laws and regulations. Bidders must comply with all applicable HUD rules and regulations governing construction projects funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. It is strongly encouraged to submit the bids electronically. The hard copy of the G-2 Bid Bond must be received electronically and postmarked before the due date/time to be considered responsive. Please refer to G-1 for further Bid Bond instructions. The total time for the project is 90 calendar days. Minority- and/or Woman-Owned Business Participation. The City's Good Faith Effort (GFE) plan establishes subcontracting goals for all prospective respondents to ensure a reasonable degree of M/WBE participation in city contracts.
