Questions Deadline: 02/09/2023 Answers Due Date: 02/10/2023 Furnish materials, labor and equipment necessary to install new window A/C units at Wahiawa Middle School. This job is for the replacement/installation of Sixty-two (62) Window A/C units of various sizes as follows: 1. Building A - Rooms 5 to 10 - Two each 18,000btu window units 2. Building B - Rooms 1 to 5 - Two each 18,000btu window units 3. Building D - Rooms 101 to 104 - Two each 18,000btu window units 4. Building D - Rooms 201 to 204 - Two each 15,000btu window units 5. Portables - P-1 to P-9 - Two each 18.000btu window units 6. Cottage CT-1 - one each 12,000btu and one each 18,000btu unit 7. Cottage CT-2 - Two each 18,000btu units 8. Cottage CT-3 - Two each 18,000btu and one each 10,000btu units 9. Cottage CT-4 - One each 18,000btu unit 10. Administration Office: i. Media Center - One each 18,000btu unit ii. Principals - One each 8,000btu unit iii. Room One each 8,000btu unit I. Window Air Conditioning Units: a. All window A/C units shall be LG Dual Inverter series or a preapproved equal. b. Window A/C units will be framed with treated 2 x 4 and shall have minimum 1/2 " ACX treated plywood on the interior and exterior. c. All wood around the A/C units will be caulked and painted (interior and exterior). III. Condensation Drain lines a. All a/c units shall have a 1/2 " PVC drain lines. b. All drain lines shall be strapped securely to the wall and run from the a/c unit to approximately 6" above the existing finish grade. III. Electrical: a. Contractor shall provide all necessary components for a complete installation of all A/C units; including but not limited to conduits, wiring, outlets, breakers, etc. b. All exposed conduits shall be EMT with watertight fittings and must be painted to match surrounding areas. c. Contractor shall also be responsible to provide sub-panels and breakers where necessary. All new sub-panels shall be lockable commercial type and must match existing 3 phase electrical systems so as to not create an imbalance of power. IV. Patching a. All penetrations through walls/windows shall be completely sealed. b. All added and/or replaced lumber and/or plywood shall be patched and painted. Wood trim shall be used for gaps larger than 1/4 inch. c. Any damages caused by the Contractors work shall be properly patched and painted to match surrounding areas.
