Site work and paving for a civil project in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.
Fort Wayne Public Works Division is seeking qualified engineering consultants to provide engineering services and assistance with the separation of Airport Expressway from the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing. The project will include a grade separated elevated roadway and bridges over both the railroad and the Harber Drain. It is anticipated that additional right-of-way will be needed for this project. All right-of-way engineering will need to be included as part of these engineering services. Land acquisition services will be performed by City of Fort Wayne personnel. It is also anticipated that permitting will need to be completed for the project. Project coordination and permitting with Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and NS Railroad will also be needed to be included in this project. The project will be bid through the Board of Public Works The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
