As of April 6, 2023` this project was awarded to New X Inc., awarded amount is $398,301.03. The construction start date has not yet been determined. The work to be performed under this contract includes the construction of approximately 676 linear fee t of water main and appurtenances along State Route 169 (3rd Avenue) starting from Summit Drive and extending to the south. The project will install 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipe along the west side of State Route 169. The City has pre-purchased the required 12" ductile iron pipe for the project. The project site experiences high volume traffic. The Engineers opinion of probable cost is between $450,000 and $520,000. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) ofthe amount ofsuch bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Black Diamond. No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
