Waverly Road Reconstruction and Overlay The City of Davenport is seeking bids from qualified vendors for Waverly Rd Reconstruction and Overlay project. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary. for PCC/HMA road reconstruction and HMA milling and overlay, including but not limited to removal of existing pavement, excavation, subgrade preparation, construction survey, HMA pavement, PCC pavement patching, PCC curb and gutter, backfill, and seeding. Work will be directed by the City Engineer or their representative and will continue until budgeted funds are exhausted. The project may also include replacement of adjacent curb or driveway as necessary to properly improve the street. For all bids over $100,000, the City of Davenport requires a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid amount. A copy of the front page of the bid bond must be attached in the "Response Attachments" tab of the bid package. Bids over $100,000, submitted without a bid bond will not be considered. For awarded bids over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Working Days, the contractor shall begin construction on or before the date specified, no later than April 3rd and complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment within 35 working days. - The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so.
