Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Gillette, Wyoming. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Campbell County School District Concrete Repairs Wyoming preference will be given, according to the School Board Policy. The Campbell County School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in biddings. The work in this contract is to remove and replace damaged concrete as requested throughout the District. Bid pricing will be based on the awarded Contractor supplying all labor, equipment, forms and tooling for the work to be completed at single site. "Large project" is defined as 2yds of concrete or more. "Small project" is defined as less than 2yds of concrete.Preparation: 1. Remove and dispose of existing concrete, sod, soil, and other debris. 2. Maintain existing water content of soil during removal and replacement process (Do not allow to dry out). 3. Prepare subgrade to match finished concrete slope. Hold slope of landings and walks to 2% lateral and away from buildings. Longitudinal slope along walks shall not exceed 5%. Slope along a flow line shall be 2% minimum unless design indicates otherwise. Slope perpendicular to a flow line shall be 2% minimum, 5% maximum Landings at steps shall slope 2% maximum each direction. 4. Where concrete is to be poured abutting existing concrete, #4 rebar dowels shall be installed, at 16" spacing into existing foundations, walls and slabs. Dowels shall be 12" long and shall be epoxy anchored 4" to 5" into existing concrete, locate dowels at center of concrete slab. 5. Set forms and brace substantially to lines and grades indicated. Place #3 reinforcing bars at 16" spacing each way, (6" maximum from edges) and provide rigid supports on a 36" grid pattern to hold bars at center of slab. Concrete: 1. Shall be a minimum 4000 PSI 28 day strength. 2. Provide minimum 6 sacks of Type 11 cement per cubic yard. 3. Slump of concrete shall not exceed 4". 4. Do not use fly ash or fiber mesh. 5. Hold lateral slope along walks to 2% away from building. Longitudinal slope of walks shall not exceed 5%. Slope along a flow line shall be 2% minimum unless design indicates otherwise. Slope perpendicular to a flow line shall be 2% minimum 5 % maximum. 6. Control joints shall be placed a maximum distance of 1 1/2 times walkway widths. 1/2" expansion joints shall be at approximately 30'maximum, shall have 1/2" smooth dowels (lubricated) through joint at 16", and shall be caulked with Dow 888. Control joints in slabs and walks shall be spaced no greater than 15'and shall be such that distance between joints does not exceed 1 1/2 times spacing of joints in the opposite direction. 7. Concrete shall be straight, smooth, and have a light broom finish to provide a uniform skid resistant surface without pulling aggregate loose, or creating deep or uneven scoring of the cement matrix. Care shall be exercised to maintain a linear slope adjacent to and away from face of building. Concrete shall not have a depression or back slope adjacent to face of building. 8.
