The work may also include the modification of the County salt handling facility. The' desired renovations involve but may not be limited to building structural integrity including system replacement due to age or mechanical obsolescence, energy efficiency, public accessibility including facilities to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, analysis of public convenience to access public offices, modernization and the layout of public offices including the County Board meeting room. The desired professional will have an association with the AIA, experience with the modernization of existing public office buildings and spaces, knowledge of state and federal regulations and codes concerning public buildings, and experience with convenient office and meeting room placement and flow. Perry County may additionally request the selected architect to guide similar assistance for certain aspects of the Perry County Jail and Perry County Courthouse which may require coordination with specialized design services for law enforcement structures and historic structures.
