Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Venice, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; for the construction of a 1,000-square-foot museum; museum; warehouse / distribution facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.
Bid is cancelled ITB-3149-23-0-2023/PB The proposed project is for the construction of an approximate +-1,000 square foot display/storage building for the City's antique "Old Betsy" fire truck in the existing parking lot of the Venice Community Center. The project location is along the eastern side of Nassau Street South just north of the existing Venice Museum. The sitework construction includes clearing, demolition, fine grading, underground piping and driveway construction in conformance with the Construction Documents. The architectural work includes structural, walls, ceilings, insulation, stucco, roofing, exterior finishes, door and windows. The project will surface drain to the same stormwater management system already constructed for the existing parking lot. The only utility construction associated with the project will include the extension of a 1" P.E. water service tapping off the service to the existing Venice Museum. The work described herein shall include, but not be limited to the responsibility to provide all: (1) Labor, materials, and equipment (2) Tools, construction equipment, and machinery, (3) Water and utilities required for construction, (4) Other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of the work, and (5) Utility work associated with this project shall be consistent with The City of Venice Utility Requirements for water and irrigation system improvements, latest revisions. Contractor will have full access to the site during construction. NOTE: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/RESPONDENTS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE CITY OF VENICE STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City.
