Renovation of a fire / police facility in Ithaca, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
As of November 9, 2023, a design firm has not been selected as of yet. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Ithaca requests proposals for professional services for renovations and repairs to three fire stations: Central Fire Station, 310 W Green Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 Station 3, 965 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 Station 4, 1240 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 The design services required: A. Assessment of current conditions, and prioritization of systems repairs or replacement. B. Estimate of cost of repairs, and renovations, recommended by the Design Professional in consultation with the City of Ithaca Staff. C. Schematic design to renovate the gender specific bathroom and shower facilities in each building into gender neutral bathroom and shower rooms. D. All assessments and design work will consider the reduction or elimination of fossil fuel usage, and energy consumption reduction as a goal.
