The purpose and intent of this Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to solicit sealed bids to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for Grounds Maintenance for the City of Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation and Events Department, (herein after referred to as FPRE) in accordance with the Specifications, and Terms and Conditions identified herein. Work also will include select public building sites maintained by the City's Department of Public Works (DPW) as well as mowing along certain sections of Right-of-way maintained by the DPW. All inquiries for information regarding Bid Submission requirements or Procurement Procedures should be directed to the Interim Procurement Manager and the Assistant Director of Parks, Planning & Operations for the City's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Events no later than 2:00 PM, February 10, 2023. All inquiries must be in writing and submitted via e-mail to both Mr. Whitley and Mr. Ward Any contract resulting from this solicitation shall be for the period of one year, based upon calendar year 2023, and will automatically renew for four (4) additional one- year terms beginning January 1 of the subsequent year unless terminated by either party. The Contract price adjustments shall be negotiated between FPRE and the awarded vendor, and finalized in writing, no later than November 30th prior to any automatic renewal period. The City also reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, in accordance with state law
