The Trinity River Authority (AUTHORITY) is seeking bids to repair and overhaul vertical turbine pumps at its CRWS facility located at 6500 Singleton, Blvd in Dallas, TX. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 2/17/2023 5:00 PM 1. Disconnect pump discharge pipe coupling sleeves. 2. Arrange appropriate crane and transport services for the removal and subsequent return of the pump to CRWS. If practical the crane service may be used to remove the drive and remount it, AUTHORITY will be responsible for the drive and loading to the SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS transport. The SUCCESSFUL BIDDER shall be responsible for any damages incurred to the pump during removal and installation, in transport and while in custody at their facilities. 3. Inspect and assess the condition of Sole Plate and Grouting and the discharge pipe sleeve immediately after pump removal. 4. Shall provide a treated plywood cover for the well opening after the pump is removed to protect personnel from accidently falling into the wet well. Minimum plywood thickness 5/8 inch and the cover shall be fastened down or fixed in some fashion to prevent accidental movement. 5. Completely disassemble the pump at their facility. Blast and clean surfaces to assess material conditions. 6. Record critical clearances, shaft runout and photograph components as found for inclusion in the inspection report. 7. Submit an inspection report along with a repair estimate for actual parts needed based on the estimated parts costs in Part B. for each pump. Any extra unanticipated labor per A. or material costs for items not included in the parts lists shall be separately indicated and explained on estimated repairs. Labor or machining costs for fabrication of replacement parts shall be included in the parts cost B. 8. Paint, Primers and Coatings shall not be applied until approved by the AUTHORITY. 9. Reassemble the pump upon approval of the AUTHORITY, return to CRWS facility and install, reconnect discharge piping, set motor on head if available, set bowl or impeller clearance. AUTHORITY staff will reconnect drive electrics and restore seal/bearing flush lines. Record vibration spectrum through 25, 50, 75 and 100% speed on VFD or Eddy Current Clutch Drives and 100% on Constant Speed units. Submit final invoicing on acceptance by the AUTHORITY. 10.
