Site work and paving for a civil project in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Town of East Longmeadow invites sealed Bids for the proposed Porter Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project. The Town's intent is to patch the spalls, install two new catch basins, and regrade Porter Road for 100 feet on either side of the culvert. The Town also intends to install new guardrails to meet AASHTO MASH criteria. The rehabilitated culvert will accommodate one lane of traffic in each direction, with 4-feet shoulders on each side. The culvert rehabilitation is to be carried out using phased construction, allowing traffic to travel over the culvert. A dewatering system will be required to control water within the culvert during interior repairs. It is anticipated active construction will occur during the months of July through September 2023. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. All bidders shall furnish with their bid a bid guaranty in the form of a bid bond or certified /cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, madepayable to the Town of EastLongmeadow. The Town of East Longmeadow reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality inbidding if it is in the public interest to do so.
