The Project provides for roadway improvements on Stilson Road within the City of Dayton, Texas measuring approximately 3,900 linear feet of roadway. The scope of work includes, but not limited to: Removing existing base and asphalt pavement Placement of select fill as needed Chemical stabilization of subgrade Construction of 10" reinforced concrete pavement Placement of storm culverts Placement of driveway culverts Installation of safety end treatments Grading of roadside ditches Construction of intersection turnouts Construction of driveway turnouts Installation of fiber optic cable Installation of mailbox assemblies Placement of barbed wire fencing Placement of small roadside sign assemblies Permanent seeding of disturbed areas Placement of pavement markings Final site cleanup Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to City of Dayton, Texas; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do businessin Texas, in the amount of not lessthan five (5%) percent ofthe total bid,must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids may be held by the City of Dayton, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
