Reference number : 1680769 Deadline for receipt of complaints: 2023-02-23 The main purpose of this mandate is to repair the roof and remove asbestos from around the windows of Saint-Gabriel school in Ville-Marie. It must include the supply of equipment, labor and management personnel required to carry out the work, all according to the indications in the plans and other tender documents. The work to be performed under this contract and more specifically shown on the drawings and described in the specifications include, but is not limited to: a) The demolition work prescribed in section 02 41 00. In general, certain appliances and accessories may need to be unplugged, removed and stored for future reinstallation. On the entire roof, the existing waterproofing system must be dismantled up to the existing wooden deck and removed from the site;
b) Replacement of existing damaged bridging, if applicable;
c) Installation of new insulation/waterproofing systems and new metal roof covering;
d) The reinstatement and connection or replacement of all existing devices and accessories so that all systems affected by the work regain their initial operation and efficiency;
e) The installation of the accessories indicated in the plans and specifications or necessary for the perfect execution of the work;
f) The replacement and installation of flashings, soffits, gutters and other prepainted metal elements indicated on the plans or related to the roofing work involved in this mandate;
g) The erection and maintenance in good condition of guardrails, partitions, fences, covered bridges and any other appropriate means of temporary protection around the building, around openings and scaffolding as well as at other dangerous places around the building and on the ground, including the neighboring low roofs;
h) The stripping and asbestos removal of the contours of existing windows and the contour of the main entrance door and its transom;
i) The closing and finishing of the asbestos-free frames, as indicated on the plans.
