Ulster County (UC) has a rich history as a climate-forward community, standing as the first county to achieve Silver-level certification (2016) in New York State (NYS) Climate Smart Communities program. To strengthen implementation of climate mitigation actions at the community scale, the County seeks to contract with a consultant team to generate a Community Climate Action Plan (CCAP). This climate action planning process is solely focused on climate change mitigation at the community level through the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and will be informed by a concurrent Community Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory update, to be provided by the County.
