Work Location: Virginia State Police Area Office 35 2361 Sussex Drive Emporia, VA 23847 1. General Requirements: The requirements of this solicitation are to drain, remove from site and dispose of a 2,500 gallon underground double walled fiberglass gasoline tank and all associated double wall fiberglass piping. It is anticipated that the tank contains less than 100 gallons of liquid. This tank, piping and residual fuel shall be removed and disposed of in accordance with current environmental regulations. The Contractor shall be responsible for the completion of the regulatory forms required by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and shell meet all of the requirements for tank closure operations. This will include the required soil sample testing associated with the tank, piping and fuel dispenser. Scope of Work The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, personnel, protective equipment, safety equipment and manpower to accomplish the following: Remove and dispose of the tank, piping, concrete pad, existing gasoline pump and any other materials associated with the existing tank system. Remove all tank lines, dispenser, fill port, vent pipes, product lines and existing gas cover shed. Remove and dispose of ground surface concrete pad. Back fill the excavation pit with suitable fill material . Properly prepare the excavated site for seeding. Seed the excavated area and apply straw to prevent erosion during germination period.. Secure and obtain all local permits and schedule a visit by the Fire Marshall as necessary Cap any existing electrical feeds to the dispenser and they can remain in place.
