Sealed envelopes are to be marked "Sealed Bid for SD116 WJ Murphy 2023 Site Improvements" and submitted to the Attention of Dr. Pamela Kibbons. This project includes, but is not limited to, the following major work items: Concrete sidewalk removal, concrete curb and gutter removal, asphalt removal (both full depth and milling), new asphalt surface and binder courses, new concrete sidewalk, new combination curb and gutter, pavement patching, and parking lot striping, lighting improvements, site grading and restoration as shown on the plan set. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of TEN (10) percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the Round Lake Area Schools CUSD #116 shall accompany the bid. The Round Lake Area Schools CUSD #116 reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the School District. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts, and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior projects, if any, in the judgment of the School District. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 90 days. START DATE: Work on this project is scheduled to begin no sooner than 7:00 a.m., May 30, 2023 COMPLETION DATE The completion date on this contract is August 4, 2023 at 4: 00 p.m. In case of failure to complete the work on time the provisions of Article 108.09 of the Standard Specifications shall apply.
