The Work to be performed under this contract includes existing coatings removal and proper disposal, surface preparation and application of the specified coating system to the interior, and exterior coating, repairs and retrofitting of Tank #24 as required by the project plans and specifications for the recoating project entitled The successful bidder must be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code and shall possess a State Contractor's License Class "C33 (Painting and Decorating Contractor)" at the time of bid submittal. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who is not licensed in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of California relating to the licensing of contractors. Contractors or subcontractors that are not registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 are not qualified to submit a bid for this project and will not be awarded the contract for this project. Further, no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on the bid proposal for this project unless the contractor or subcontractor is registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Each contractor and subcontractor must furnish the records specified in Labor Code Section 1776 directly to the Labor Commissions, in the manner set forth in Labor Code Section 1771.4. Contractors must all post job site notices, as prescribed by regulation.
