Job No. D-91-077-23, IDA B Wells Drive from the Old Post Office to South Branch Chicago River, Phase II Project, Cook County, Region One/District One. This project requires 14% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.07. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. This project includes Phase II engineering services for the improvements of the bridges along IDA B Wells Drive between Clinton Street and the South Branch Chicago River. The anticipated improvements may include preparing contract plans, specifications, and estimates for the 4 structures, lighting improvements, drainage improvements, sidewalk replacement, roadway cross-slope correction, removal and replacing the overlay on the movable bridge with the possibility of rebalancing, and all other incidental work required to complete Phase II contract plans. Proposed improvements for structure 016-0461 include reconstruction and replacement of the deck and repairs to the superstructure and substructure including the removal and replacement of barriers, median, deck drains, and expansion joints. Structure 016-0462 includes replacement of the full superstructure and all supporting concrete columns. Structure 016-0460 improvements include replacement of the superstructure and substructure including the interior pier bents. Structure 016-2445 improvements include the polymer overlay replacement of the orthotropic deck of the IDA B Wells moveable bridge over the South Branch Chicago River. Maintenance of Traffic coordination may require traffic signal review and modification. The completion date for this contract will be 24 months after authorization to proceed. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the following categories to be considered for this project:
