The State University of New York College College at Geneseo has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to contract with a vendor for the following services related to the inspection and cleaning of the Colleges Dormitory piping systems. The SUNY Geneseo Facilities Department is looking to have the sewer systems of six (6) dormitory buildings inspected, cleaned, and flushed. This process will first include a camera inspection of each of the buildings sewer systems, utilizing three (3) types of inspection cameras and providing a digital recording, guided by an audio narration, made during the inspection process. Next, the sewer systems are expected to be cleaned and flushed to restore flow throughout the sewer, using a combination of the following exhaust-free, electric powered tools: a cart hydro jet, a sewer cable snake with multiple attachment heads, a one-way flush bladder, and wet/dry vacuums to restore flow throughout the sewer. Lastly, a leak detection test of the sewer system will be performed, using smoke candles to trace any leaks in the vents and riser stacks.
