The Nye County School District is accepting bids to replace eight HVAC units at the Amargosa K-8 campus, 1560 E. Farm Road, Amargosa Valley, NV 89020. This project entails removal and disposal of eight HVAC package unit replacement with similar equipment. Seven of these units are located on the roof of the school, and one is located on the ground next to the building. Access work and lifting equipment needed to accommodate the project must be included in the bid. Detailed specifications must be provided in the bid for any proposed alternate replacement parts. As such, it will be a prevailing wage job and the work is expected to be completed during the 2023 summer break. (May 20 through August 1 2023) Contractors wishing to bid on this project must be currently licensed per Nevada Law. Bids must include the following information: Job completion date, any descope amendments and date thereof, pertinent warranty information on parts and labor. In addition, bids must include acknowledgement of compliance with the Byrd act, the clean water act, the clean air act, and OSHA certification. The award of the contract is expected to be March 23, 2023 following the Board of Trustees monthly meeting. This date may be revised by the District. Nye County School District reserves the right to reject any bid, and to accept the bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Nye County School District. The Nye County School District further retains the right to waive any irregularities within a submitted bid.
