The City is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials for services related to flooring replacement at the Orange County Fire Authority Station No. 74 located at 1427 S. Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92707. Contractor shall complete work specified herein within thirty (30) working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders shall submit Bid Bond or Certified Check in a sealed envelope Bid Bond or Certified Check must be received no later than 3 business days after the bid due date. 1. Removing existing carpet and wall base. 2. Preparation of substrate and walls for new flooring and wall base. 3. Furnishing and installation of new Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT), carpet, and wall base. 4. Grinding sections of floor as needed to level a clear path of travel. 5. Contractor shall relocate any existing furniture to perform the work specified herein and also replace said furniture after completion of work. Items may be lifted in-place and/or moved to another area on the same floor. 6. Contractor must procure the exact flooring material as specified by the City (EXHIBIT II). 7. Contractor shall be responsible for daily clean-up and to protect electronic devices from dust. 8. During and at completion of work, debris shall not be allowed to spread unnecessarily into adjacent areas nor accumulate in the work area. All debris, excess material, and parts, including those materials that could inflict injury (e.g., nails, wire, wood, etc.), shall be cleaned up continuously as work progresses and removed at the completion of the job and/or at the end of each work day. 9.
