The City of Sedro-Woolley is soliciting bids under the city's Small Works Roster utilizing MRSC Rosters and the Limited Public Works process for a 12-month unit priced (as-needed) construction services. The work will generally consist of sanitary sewer and storm drainage system repairs requiring specialized excavation and shoring equipment and trained construction crews capable of excavating and repairing utility lines located in city streets and right of way at depths from 5' to 14' deep in groundwater conditions, including traffic control labor and devices, backfill, compaction, and surface restoration including asphalt pavement and concrete repair. Work may also include emergency storm debris removal. Individual tasks will be assigned by Task Order. Contractors must be prepared to mobilize for the work within 24 hours of the call. The cumulative annual value of the work is estimated to be under $35,000, but actual work will vary, and no guarantee is made of the actual value of the work. Materials and Construction provided for individual projects will be per City of Sedro-Woolley Public Works Department Standards and the current edition of the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. Basis for selection will consist of comparison of proposals for man-hour, equipment rates and mobilization/demobilization costs per the attached sample project, a review of qualifications and references, and capacity to respond within the time frame stated. Based on responses received, a minimum of three contractors may be selected. Contracts will be awarded to selected contractors. It is anticipated that the lowest responsible bidder will be utilized for work under this contract, but should the primary contractor be unavailable, the work will be offered to the next contract holder according to the ranking of bids received. The City of Sedro-Woolley reserves the right, without any liability on our part, to accept a proposal of the bidder submitting the lowest responsible bid, to reject any or all bids, revise or cancel the work to be performed, or do the work otherwise, if the best interest of the City is served thereby.
