All questions should be submitted in writing to the Engineer of Record by 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. The work involves the following major item (s): Installation of approximately 6,100 linear feet of 8" Molecularly Oriented Polyvinyl Chloride (PVCO) water main, 200 linear feet of 6" cement lined ductile iron water main, approximately 2,100 linear feet of HDPE service piping, fittings, fire hydrants, ductile iron gate valves, temporary water main bypass and other related water system work on Cleghorn Lane, Hood Road, Trull Brook Lane, and Guile Avenue. Additional work includes trench paving and all other related work as specified. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BOND and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within ten (10) days following notification of the acceptance of his Bid. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, and to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the OWNER. Bids are subject to Massachusetts-M.G.L. Chapter 30-Section 39M and to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. Chapter 149- Sections 26 to 27D inclusive. The award of the contract is contingent upon the availability and appropriation of funding by the Town. All costs associated with the preparation of the bids shall be the responsibility of the bidder, regardless of whether or not the Contract is awarded. The successful bidder shall certify that all employees at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) that is at least 10 hours in duration at the time the employee begins work and who shall furnish documentation of successful completion of said course with the first certified payroll for each employee
