Included please find specifications and other pertinent documents necessary for you to respond to this Bid Invitation. The contract is for a one-year term, with two 1-year extensions, subject to mutual consent between the City of Aurora and the selected vendor. The City reserves the right to award the bids to multiple vendors. All bids are to be submitted on the bid proposal form provided entitled: "23-11 Private Property Mowing for Property Standards". Each bid must be placed in an envelope, sealed, and clearly marked on the outside: "23-11 Private Property Mowing for Property Standards". Each Bidder shall submit with his Bid a Bid Bond amount of $1,000. The City of Aurora has a local preference ordinance that will apply to this contract. All inquiries and/or questions pertaining to the provisions and specifications of this bid package shall be directed to the Director of Purchasing, in writing at PurchasingDL@aurora.il.us. Questions will be accepted until 8:00 am, Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Questions will be answered via addendum and posted to the City's website by 5:00 pm, Thursday, February 16, 2023. NO questions will be accepted or answered verbally. No questions will be accepted or answered after February 14, 2023, 8:00 am cut-off date/time. The City of Aurora reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or parts thereof, and to waive any technicality, informality or irregularity in the Bids received, and to disregard all nonconforming or conditional Bids or counter-proposals and to hold the best Bids for ninety (90) days from the opening date set forth above. The City further reserves the right to award the Bid to the lowest responsible Bidder whose offer best responds in quality, fitness and capacity to the requirements of the proposed Work or usage and therefore is in the best interest of the City.
