The Department's objectives for this project include the following: o Initiating and advancing engineering planning and design work and services for the multimodal Spring Garden Greenway project from Pennsylvania Avenue to Christopher Columbus Boulevard. o Installation of the following: o A one-way, street-level, protected cycle tracks bikeways using a variety physical protection methods to separate pedestrians and cyclists from passing traffic and the parking lanes. The project will include corresponding traffic, roadway, and utility modification work from project inception through bid award and providing consultation services during the construction phase. o Upgrades and improvements to PWD's water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. These shall include a series of no more than 22 GSI subsurface trenches, over one mile of water main replacements and 1,000 feet of wastewater system replacements. All surface features (including but not limited to inlet grates) shall support bicycle mobility. Refer to the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Package for the Spring Garden Greenway dated December 16, 2021 for a map of proposed GSI and Water/Sewer locations (see Appendix X). o Required field and office work includes but is not limited to: o All necessary surveys for Streets and PWD; The City reserves the right to add, delete or modify information pertaining to this Notice of Contract Opportunity at any time during the period the Contract Opportunity remains open.
