Award date: in April Replace roughly 2700 linear feet of old, problematic 6" cast iron water mains by pipe bursting them with 8" HDPE pipe or fusible pvc, reconnecting all effected service connections, hydrants and valves. The bid must include all materials and labor needed to perform the work including but not limited to equipment, supplies, traffic control devices, utility locating services, and mobilization expenses. The winning bidder shall submit to the City liability insurance in the minimum amount of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00) as well as a performance bond with a minimum amount as specified in the City of Balch Springs ordinance section 66-176, administration and enforcement. The winning bidder shall warranty their work for a period of two years from the date of completed construction. Any defects during this period will be replaced or repaired to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works of the City of Balch Springs as stated in City ordinance 66-176(d). By submitting a proposal, each vendor agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the city arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any proposal, including, but not limited to, waiver of any requirements under the proposal or contract documents, acceptance or rejection of any proposal(s), and award of the contract.
