Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

For 4th Street Sewer Realignment Project Work for which proposals are to be received is for the installation of approximately 600-feet of sanitary sewer, coordination of utilities, storm inlets and drainage structure reinstatements, sanitary and storm structures, drainage features, surface restoration, connection to existing structure, modifications to existing infrastructure, maintenance of flow, and other appurtenances. Work also includes the installation of approximately 600-feet of water main, water main appurtenances, hydrants, service connections and service reinstatements, meter resetting, connection to existing main, and main abandonment. The project also includes surface restoration for disturbed areas, including street resurfacing, trench repair, sidewalk replacement, and reseeding of affected areas. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least sixty (60) days. Copies of the documents are available for examining at the offices of Butler, Fairman and Seufert, 11 South Third Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, IN, 47901, and the City of Lafayette, City Hall, 20 North 6th Street, Lafayette, IN 47901. In order to be considered as a Potential Bidder for the project, Bid Documents must be obtained from Butler, Fairman & Seufert, Inc. Potential Bidders will be placed on a list to receive addenda as described. Payment shall be by money order or check and shall be made payable to Butler, Fairman and Seufert, Inc. Plan holders must recognize that they will be notified of each addendum via facsimile or e-mail and will be required to electronically download addendum content via file transfer protocol (FTP) regardless of initial document delivery method chosen. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work contemplated therein. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid, or all bids, or to accept any bid or bids, or to make such combination of bids as may seem desirable, and to waive any and all informalities in bidding. The project shall have a substantial completion date of 120-days after the Notice to Proceed and a Final Completion date of 30-days after Substantial Completion. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued within 2-weeks of the bid opening. The project shall achieve final completion by approximately August 18th, 2023. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or acceptable bidder's bond made payable to The City of Lafayette in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total bid price, which check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from him to do so within ten (10) days of said notification. A bidder's bond must be executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana and whose name appears on the current Treasury Department Circular 570. The Bid security checks will be returned to all except the three (3) lowest Bidders within thirty (30) days after the date of opening of the bid. Approved Performance Bond and Payment Bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials, to be executed by an acceptable surety company, will be required of the Contractor at the time of contract execution. The bonds will each be in the amount of 100% of the Contract price and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from date of Substantial Completion. Installation Of New Sewer Sections To Intercept Flows And Replace And Reroute An Existing Combination Sewer. Replacement of Existing Watermain.
