Saving Project...

Site work for a water / sewer project in Folly Beach, South Carolina. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The City of Folly Beach (the "City") is soliciting interested and qualified professional consulting firms to develop a West Indian Avenue and Tabby Drive Flood Mitigation Study as required by the City's FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) BRIC (Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities) Grant. This Grant is funded through the SC EMD Mitigation Grant Program. As of May 10, 2024, per owner, an engineering team has been identified. A construction and bidding timeline has not been identified yet. The broad objective of the Flood Mitigation Study is to assess and evaluate stormwater and tidal flooding present within the West Indian Avenue and Tabby Drive watersheds; and to make recommendations for minimizing and eliminating flooding in these study areas. Firms interested in responding should have experience and qualifications in the evaluation and development of nuisance flooding mitigation studies and drainage improvement plans, preferably in local government settings. This RFQ describes the project, the required scope of services, the qualifications the City is seeking in a consultant, the minimum information that must be included in a proposal response and the consultant selection process. Responses to this RFQ will be used to determine the relative qualifications of various firms to perform the scope of work and tasks specified. It is anticipated that an agreement for professional services will be negotiated and executed between the City and the firm determined to best meet the needs of the City for this project following the conditional award of the contract bid. Questions may be emailed no later than February 13th, 2023 to: jannie.lathan@lathan-consulting.com. Answers will be provided to all who have emailed Ms. Lathan on 2-17-2023. Please note there is no pre-bid meeting for this RFQ. All submitters are invited to be present or send a representative, but attendance is not required. Under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, all bids, excluding finances and pending legal actions, will become public information. The City of Folly Beach is an Equal Opportunity Employer The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
