Renovation of a municipal facility in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 19,555-square-foot municipal facility.
EfficiencyOne is soliciting proposals from General Contractors for the renovations of approximately 19,555 sq ft of office space according to the architectural, mechanical, and engineering specifications issued with this RFP package. Like most organizations, EfficiencyOne endorsed a work from home policy in early 2020 with the onset of the COVID19 pandemic. The transition back to the workspace in 2022 has resulted in the need for the creation of a hybrid workplace that provides in-office and remote work options to offer flexibility and support to E1 employees. EfficiencyOne has contracted with architectural and interior design firm Fowler Bauld & Mitchell (FBM) to create the design and layout of the future workspace for EfficiencyOne employees. The creation of this new workspace will result in an approximate 24% reduction in the current space with a renewed focus on employee culture and engagement as employees assimilate back into their new hybrid environment. EfficiencyOne intends to complete the transition to a hybrid workspace in Q3 2023. To facilitate this transition, the 24% planned reduction in workspace will temporarily be used for E1 staff to occupy during the renovations, and for the storage of furniture that will be reused in the new office space, during the renovations until it is turned back to Armour Group after the renovation is complete i.e., the downsized premises will not be occupied by staff during the renovations.
