Renovation of a municipal facility in Providence, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

1.) This specification describes an addressable/conventional fire detection and alarm signaling system. The control panel(s) shall include all required hardware, software, and site-specific system programming to provide a complete and operational system. 2.) The control panel and all devices supplied shall in full compliance with all applicable codes and standards. 3.) The features and capacities described in this specification are required as a minimum for this project. Questions regarding these specifications should be directed to eugene sorkin via email at esorkin@narrabay.Com by no later than 4:00 pm on february 15th, 2022. Vendors and the public are advised that due to Covid-19 emergency social distancing requirements, bid openings at the Narragansett Bay Commission will be conducted via live streaming on the ZOOM internet platform. Vendors and the public will not be permitted to enter the Narragansett Bay Commission building to attend bid openings. Vendors and the public who attend bid openings via live streaming shall be required to identify themselves and a record of all such attendees will be maintained by the Narragansett Bay Commission. Vendor bids will be opened and read aloud at the date and time listed in the bid proposal. Bid results will be tabulated as soon as possible after the bid opening. If a vendor opts to not mail its bid to the Narragansett Bay Commission and instead elects to submit its bid in person, they can enter the Narragansett Bay Commission building to drop off their bid. In accordance with the Governor's Executive Order(s) and Department of Health emergency regulations, all social distancing recommendations must be adhered to and a cloth mask which covers the nose and mouth must be worn when dropping of the bid if not vaccinated. Vendors delivering a bid to the Narragansett Bay Commission should allow sufficient time for dropping off the bid. The Narragansett Bay Commission assumes no responsibility for delays caused by any reason. Vendors are solely responsible for on time delivery of bids. "Individuals experiencing technical difficulties while remotely attending the meeting may contact 401-572-3200 for assistance." A.) Vendor shall replace the existing SIEMENS MXL system including MXL panel, control modules, primary devices, and fire fighters' phones and incidentals. B.) The fire alarm control panel shall replace the existing SIEMENS MXL panel. Labor to replace existing cabinet shall include masonry work. C.) The battery cabinet shall be reused. D.) A document cabinet shall be supplied by vendor. E.) For current code compliance, vendor shall supply and install isolation modules. F.) The specification is written around Mircom fire alarm addressable system. NBC shall consider an approved equal to the one specified.
