Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Fort Pierce, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a service station / car wash facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is the Construction Manager proudly serving the Saint Lucie Public Schools, Florida in the construction of the North County Complex (NCC) Fuel Island Repairs Project located at 601 S. 29th St. Fort Pierce, Fl. 34947. This project consists of: removal of (3) existing fuel islands (including associated concrete and asphalt, existing above ground fuel dispensers, fuel monitoring equipment, card readers, etc.); abandoning in place the existing (2) 10,000 gal. and (1) 2,000 gal. underground fuel tanks via flowable fill per Federal State and Local regulations; flush, drain, and cap underground piping; provide all environmental soil sampling, analysis, and reporting; furnish and install a new above ground 2-compartment UL-2085 fuel tank with ladder and catwalk (15k Gal. Diesel, 5k gal. gas) including steel reinforced 4,000psi concrete pad, bollards, slab on grade concrete and asphalt put back, curbs and gutters, new fuel dispensing equipment (1 single hose diesel, 2 twin sided diesels, and 1 twin 2-product regular gas/diesel dispenser), card readers, fuel monitoring, canopy structure and associated electrical, lighting, etc.; relocate an existing vacuum system station (incl. new concrete pad, bollards, curbs & gutters); relocating the existing DEF tank for reuse at new fuel station; and providing repairs to 2 CMU storage buildings adjacent to the fuel island 182 SF and a 93 SF (incl. CMU infill of one door, repairs to existing masonry walls, painting of the building and removal/replacement of the 220 +/- SF roof on the 182 SF building). We are currently seeking turnkey fuel station contractors for the bulk of the work and individual trades contractors to perform the ancillary repairs to the existing storage buildings.
