For Pavement Marking Questions Due Date: Never The work generally described on this tender includes the retracing of existing pavement markings or placing of new markings on old or new pavement. The work shall consist of the supply and application of traffic paint and beads to all directional driving lines, edge of pavement lines, lane and turn lane lines on existing pavement. The participating agencies in the tender are listed below: o County of Grey (lead) o City of Owen Sound o Municipality of Grey Highlands o Township of Southgate o Municipality of West Grey Inquiries must be received no later than 4:30 PM, 3 business days prior to closing; otherwise, a response may not be provided All inquiries concerning the Request for Tender process and results must be provided in writing and should be initiated electronically Questions of clarification may be answered individually, but response(s) to any question that modifies the scope of the Request for Tender will be circulated in writing as an Addendum to all registered document takers who have received the Request for Tender document from the Corporation. The Owner(s) reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and to waive formalities as the interests of the Owner(s) may require without stating reasons therefore. The Owner(s) reserves the right to immediately terminate the Contract at its own discretion, including but not limited to such items as non-performance, inferior quality work, pricing issues, etc. The schedule of work for this contract shall be as follows: three (3) years consisting of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 seasons. The Corporation may elect to extend the term for two (2) additional two (2) year periods until end of the 2029 season pending mutual agreement of the Contractor and the Corporation. A bid adjustment of 2% (two percent) will be applied to the bid price for each contract item in the additional years. The dates contained within the Schedule would be adjusted to fit the specific calendar year. The future dates will generally be the third Friday of June for centerline and lane lines, and the third Friday of July for pavement edge lines. Bidders shall submit a bid deposit in the form of a digital Bid Bond from a recognized guarantee or surety company acceptable to the County and authorized by law to do business in the province of Ontario to act as security for the satisfaction of the preconditions of award as prescribed herein. The amount of the Bid Bond shall be in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of Total Bid (rounded up to the nearest cent) The successful bidder will be required to submit Performance Surety in the form of a Performance Bond and a Labour and Materials Bond within 14 days of award. The successful Bidder(s) shall be required to provide and assume all costs for the provision of Performance Surety, for the County of Grey, the City of Owen Sound, the Municipality of Grey Highlands, the Township of Southgate and the Municipality of West Grey (through a dual obligee rider) prior to the execution of a contract or the issuance of a signed Contract Agreement. Such surety shall be in the amount of: Fifty Percent (50%) of the total bid amount and be in the form of an Irrevocable Letter of Credit or a Performance Bond from a Surety Company authorized by law to carry out business in the Province of Ontario and acceptable to the Corporation. The successful Bidder(s) shall be required to provide and assume all costs for provision of a labour and materials bond, for the County of Grey, the City of Owen Sound, the Municipality of Grey Highlands, the Township of Southgate and the Municipality of West Grey (through a dual obligee rider) prior to the execution of a contract.
