The School Board of Highlands County, herein referred to as the SBHC, is requesting bids for the cost associated with the Complete Build Out of the Lake Placid High School Training Facility building. The work is fully described within SBHC Bid #2223-20. Scope of Work The SBHC is seeking bid proposals from qualified and properly licensed Building Contractors who will be able to complete the build-out of the weight room building at the Lake Placid Athletic complex as specified in these RFBP documents. Contractors must be appropriately licensed to do business in Highlands County and must be in the business of similar work as detailed within these specifications. The proposals received timely will be evaluated and recommended for award as stated in these RFBP documents. Project Site: Lake Placid Athletic Complex 101 Pasceo del Prado Lake Placid, FL 33852 History: The 81' x 125' building shell that can be seen at the Lake Placid Complex was originally build in 2011. The extent of the original build was the full foundation with all rough-in plumbing installed, stub outs for electric, domestic water and sanitary and complete metal building envelope with the exception of the entries at the south end. The School Board has seen to the updating of all the Mechanicals, Electricals, Plumbing a Fire Sprinkler documents issued KPI Engineering,Inc., dated August 2022, which are now considered part of these contact documents. Several components have been gathered over time and shall be provided by the School Board, but installed by the contractor as part of this bid. The list of components to be supplied by the School Board shall be listed here-in. The intent of this bid is for the contractor to take any materials supplied by the School Board, supplement all remaining components necessary to fully complete the interior of the structure as detailed here-in. The work will also include the completion of all incoming utilities and systems to fully make the building operational.
