South Jordan City desires to retain an engineering firm to assist with various geotechnical engineering projects and materials testing. Description South Jordan City desires to retain an engineering firm to assist the City with various geotechnical engineering projects and materials testing on an as-needed basis. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, site investigations and engineering analyses, evaluation of soil stability, sieve analysis, soil and asphalt density tests, soil borings and evaluation of material, determining CBR of subgrade, pavement designs, foundation designs, special inspections on new building construction, and preparation of geotechnical reports. All testing need to be performed per APWA standards. Consultant must perform these tasks only per the project manager's request and approval. The City expects to have a two-year agreement to perform tasks for the City. At the end of the two-year agreement, and upon a positive performance review, this agreement may be extended for up to three one-year periods (annually). The award of a contract does not guarantee any or all work. This RFP procurement of services is based on Utah Administrative Code R33-15. Consultants need to examine the RFP carefully to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions and requirements that may affect the work to be performed under the contract. Contractors are expected to follow all local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications. Contractors shall review the RFP in order to provide a proposal that covers the minimum requirements. The City reserves the right to award this bid in full or in part. All inquiries and responses must be made online portal. No paper bids will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any Bid if the City believes that it would not be in the best interest of the project or the City. Without limitation, such rejection may be because the Bid is not responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful ability or the Bid or Bidder fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the City, as solely determined by City.
