For Commissioning of New Building and Infrastructure Construction Projects If interested in receiving the RFP for this please email chadr@lanl.gov. The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is looking to subcontract directly with commissioning firms to enhance LANL's internal commissioning team during periods of heavy activity. The LANL campus master plan calls for the construction of many new structures over the next several years. The scope of work will be for commissioning of new building and infrastructure construction projects. The commissioning firm would have full responsibility for an entire project under the direction of the LANL Commissioning Authority. The projects would include building mechanical and electrical systems, utility and infrastructure systems, lighting, building safety systems (such as emergency lighting and safety showers), building automation systems, and various other building control systems. The scope will include working with architectural/engineering firms to perform design reviews. The commissioning firm will also develop commissioning plans and functional test procedures and perform onsite commissioning activities. The scope of work includes the commissioning firm coordinating all onsite commissioning activities with the constructors. This would include having an onsite presence during major equipment startups, field acceptance tests, and punchlist walkdowns. After the completion of onsite commissioning activities, the commissioning firm will generate a final test summary report for submission to LANL, coordinate training of operations staff, and provide all submittal documentation.
