The City is currently planning a renovation to the Airdrie Curling Club with a focus on its ice plant replacement. The City requires a qualified firm to work in collaboration with the City and its consultants to design, supply and install the ice plant portion of the Curling Club to meet the needs of the facility and work with the complete renovation. The City expects the initial work at the Airdrie Curling Club to begin immediately after execution of an agreement. Work is expected to be complete September 2024. The term of the agreement is proposed to be from execution to completion of work at the Airdrie Curling Club. The City has plans for future upgrades and projects to other arena facilities with ice plants and reserves the right to use the selected vendor and their refrigeration equipment as the standard for future renovations and new builds. For future renovations and builds, an additional term will apply for design, supply, and installation of ice plant equipment at additional City facilities as needed, for a term of three (3) years with options for the City to extend the term for an additional three (3) years in one (1) year increments. The City may, in its sole discretion, negotiate an agreement for maintenance and related servicing of installed ice-plant equipment at City facilities, including but not limited to the Airdrie Curling Club, with the selected Proponent for a term of three (3) years with options for the City to extend the term for an additional three (3) years in one (1) year increments.
