The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on February 22, 2023. PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish semi-annual inspection and preventative maintenance as well as on call repair services for VDOT owned Truck Wash Pad and rack system components recycling system. This contract will also include the removal, hauling, and disposing of oily wastewater and oily sludge from the wash pad containment pits. Inspection and preventative maintenance services are to be provided on a semi-annual or as needed basis. On-call repair services as an as needed "on-call" basis. SCOPE OF WORK: a. Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment and incidentals as necessary to perform semi-annual inspection and preventative maintenance (PMI) to include cleaning of the wash pad and respective components, and to provide on-call as need repair service. On-call repairs will be on a time and materials basis. b. Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment and incidentals as necessary to load, haul, discharge, and dispose of oily wastewater and oily sludge from the containment pit at each PMI and as requested in the interim. c. A 24 hour response may be required during emergency situations to prevent damage to VDOT equipment and property. d. Normal work hours for work performed under this contract shall be Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, unless otherwise authorized by VDOT Contract Administrator or designee. During the prosecution of work, VDOT reserves the right to suspend the work in whole or in part due to the failure of the Contractor to correct conditions that are unsafe for the workers and/or the general public. At the discretion of VDOT, work may be performed at any time of the year.
