Scope- Replacement of an existing 8" cast iron waterline installed in 1956 located along 3300 South from 1100 West to State Street. This project will be constructed in two phases. The Work of this Contract comprises the construction of Phase 2 of the new 12-inch 3300 South potable water pipeline. Phase 2 is located along 3300 South from 500 West to State Street. In Phase 2 approximately 4,700 linear feet of 12-inch waterlines will be installed using open cut, horizontal directional drill, and slip lining methods. The work will include installation of service lines, fire line vaults, valves, fire hydrants, replacement of meter boxes and setters, and miscellaneous surface improvements appurtenant to the pipeline work. The slipline is approximately 1,250 linear feet through an abandoned 16" waterline. The directional drill is approximately 590 linear feet to cross beneath Interstate 15. The open cut steel casing is approximately 216 LF to cross beneath Union Pacific and UTA right of way. The work includes connection of service lines and the installation and replacement of fire hydrants, firelines, and fireline vaults. This includes miscellaneous surface improvements appurtenant to pipeline work in UDOT right of way. Construction of Phase 1 is currently under contract, which includes the waterline replacement along 3300 South from 1100 West to 500 West. Phase 1 started in September 2022 and is anticipated to be competed in August 2023. Estimated Construction Cost : $4-5 million *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All work shall be completed within 200 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The general sites of work are located within South Salt Lake City, Utah. Work to be completed within the UDOT right-of-way along 3300 South and the roadways adjacent to 3300 South. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, money order or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price payable to the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract, provide evidence of worker's compensation insurance, and furnish a satisfactory faithful performance bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price and a payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price. Phase 2 shall be substantially completed by October 15, 2023.
