Renovation of a mixed-use development in Delmar, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of an educational facility, service station / car wash facility and warehouse / distribution facility.

Sealed proposals are sought and requested by the Bethlehem Central School District for Work of Multiple Contracts consisting of Additions and Alterations to the District Buildings listed below in accordance with Drawings, Specifications, and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by Ashley McGrawArchitects, 125 East Jefferson Street, Syracuse, New York 13202. No. 01-03-06-06-7-063-001 Middle School N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-005-026 Eagle Elementary N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-026-006 Elsmere Elementary N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-008-020 Glenmont Elementary N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-002-016 Hamagrael Elementary N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-003-019 Slingerlands Elementary N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-0-009-015 Maintenance & Storage Facility N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-3-012-009 Bus Garage N.Y.S.E.D. No. 01-03-06-06-5-010-014 Bids are requested for the following Prime Contracts: 1. Site Work 2. General Construction Work. 3. Roof Work 4. Mechanical Work 5. Plumbing Work 6. Electrical Work Deadline for Bid RFIs is 5:00PM Thursday, February 23, 2023. RFIs received after this date will not be answered. In lieu of (or in addition to) a PAPER set of Construction Documents, bidders may request from the Plan Holder an electronic download from the Plan & Print website for a non-refundable cost of $25 or a CD with PDF files of all drawings and specifications, at a non-refundable cost (including shipping and handling) of $25.00. Checks for deposit for Contract Documents shall be made payable to the Bethlehem CSD (but delivered to Plan Holder). Checks for shipping and handling costs shall be made payable to the Plan Holder, or bidders may pick up documents in person. Cash is not acceptable as a deposit for Contract Documents. Partial sets requested, shall be obtained by interested parties, at their cost, with no money returned. Documents may also be viewed free of charge at the Plan Holder. Checks Received Without Telephone Number, Fax Number, and Shipping Address Shall Be Returned. Plans and Specs Will Not Be Shipped to Post Office Boxes. Contractors who have paid aforesaid deposit for an entire set of Bidding and Contract Documents and return such sets to Plan Holder in good condition within thirty (30) calendar days after opening of bids, shall receive refund of such deposit for each set, not exceeding three (3), so returned to Plan Holder. As bid security, each proposal shall be accompanied by Certified Check or Bid Bond made out to Owner, in accordance with amounts and terms described in INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any and all bids. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within thirty (30) calendar days of actual date of opening thereof. Roofing Contractor - RC to install thru roof penetrations including but not limited to roof curbs, duct rails, conduit pitch pockets/boots as specified and furnished by MC, EC, PC. Roofing Contractor- GC to create roof penetration (cut roof membrane and deck) at locations laid-out/ coordinated with other trades. Roofing Contractor - RC is responsible to install blocking, flashing's as required to complete a water tight installation per roofmanufacture's existing warranty and or new warranty. Roofing Contractor - RC to maintain roof opening protection (water tight) until roof equipment is installed. MC, EC and PC are to furnish Roofing Contractor - RC with a drawing showing dimensions, size and location of all roof penetration's required for their work. 1. Provide (furnish and install) all requirements of the Roofing Work as specifically defined in the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to EDPM, Silicon & Spray Foam systems. 2. For Hamagrael roofing schedule assume a second mobilization for coordination with install and replacement of MEP roof top equipment. 3. Temp Overhead Protection - Provide fully planked, scaffolding sections a minimum of 10ft from building. At exterior doors, walkways or where indicated by CM. Overhead protection to be installed prior to performing any roof work above and shall be maintained unit the above roof work is complete. 4. All unloading, hoisting, transport, storage and weather protection for stored materials as needed. Also include hoisting and removal of debris from the roof to your dumpsters located on the ground as required. 5. Provide and maintain a hard top rail mid rail perimeter protection system and or any fall protection necessary to comply with OSHA Standards and the 6'-0" Fall Rule Outlined in the Special Provisions for the duration of this contract work. Provide protection over all existing skylights to comply with OSHA standards. Use of Safety Monitor is not an acceptable means of fall protection. 6. Clean work area at the end of each shift to clear packaging materials and scrap. All materials stored on-site shall be securely covered, tied down, and protected from weather. You will be charged for poor housekeeping. 7. Provide removal/demolition of all roof systems as shown on the contract documents. Coordinate with Hazardous removal drawings. 8. All deck flutes, wall intersections, and any areas where debris may exist are to be vacuumed and cleaned prior to the installation of the new roofing material. GC to request inspection from Construction Manager prior to installation of new work. 9. Verify that all roof drains are clear and in working order prior to any demolition activity commencing. Submit a condition survey to the Construction Manager describing condition of each existing roof drain. 10. Furnish and install all roofing work including, but not limited to membranes, substrate boards, cover boards, vapor retarders, sheet waterproofing, sheet flashing, drainage panels, welding, pipe boots, adhesive, insulation, tapered insulation, drain sumps, fasteners, perimeter termination bars, blocking, battens, snow guards, walkways, etc. Include all termination details and flashing as shown or required by the existing conditions. The GC will flash in all new curbs, pipe penetrations, etc.
