Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Newark, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Project Identification: Malcolm X Shabazz High School New Track, Playing Field & Tennis Court Refurbishment. 1. Project Location: 80 Johnson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey. 1. Replacement of synthetic turf of multi-purpose field within existing running track. 2. Replacement of existing running track with new track consisting of rubberized surfacing over asphalt or post-tensioned concrete track (Add Alternate A1-1). 3. Replacement of existing tennis courts with new post-tension concrete tennis courts including new nets. 4. Replacement of existing field events for track in-kind. 5. Replacement of existing scoreboard. 6. Repair and or upgrades to existing site stormwater retention and soil erosion. 7. Reconstruction of walkways, and restoration of disturbed areas, including fencing and pavements, as necessary. 8. New site lighting for track & playing field. In response to the National Declaration of Emergency Concerning the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic, bids will be received by the Newark Board of Education Purchasing Department via our electronic bidding platform online. All Bidders proposing to bid shall be classified in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-27, as to the character and amount of public work on which they shall be qualified to submit a bid by the Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC). Bidders shall also be registered pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. and shall provide a valid and current registration certificate with its bid as to the bidder and all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C 17:27-1 et seq. Award of contract may be supported by federal funds including the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund. The Board of Education reserves the right, in accordance with applicable law, to reject any or all proposals and waive non-material irregularities in a proposal. All questions shall be submitted in writing via the bidding platform prior to Friday, February 17, 2023 12:00 p.m. EST. The specific section and page number to which each question refers to is to be indicated. Completion- 85 working days.
