BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The awarded contract requires brush grinding (also referred to at times as "chipping") at three County sites: Chelan Transfer Station Brush Yard, Dryden Transfer Station Brush Yard and Leavenworth Day Pit during 2023 and 2024. Any necessary transportation of equipment or materials is the sole responsibility of the contractor and any expenses accrued are not billable to the County outside of the awarded lump sum contract price. Additional terms and conditions apply. Work shall be performed for Chelan County Public Works Department, and in accordance with the Brush Grinding at Multiple Sites (2023-2024) Contract Provisions, the current Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications and amendments, and the contract terms. Chelan County, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
