Site work for a road / highway in Repentigny, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Upgrades and improvements to the City road infrastructure. The scope of the project includes construction of noise barrier running along the north side of the A40 highway, between the boulevards of La Rochelle and Brien. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary and is includes in the owner three-year capital expenditure plan. The project owner has recently authorized the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility (MTMD) for the design and implementation of the project. Under this agreement, the municipality will assume 50% of the costs related to noise mitigation measures, in accordance with the Road Traffic Noise Management Policy, and will act as the project manager in collaboration with the MTMD. The owner expects to proceed with the preparation in mid-/late 2026 in order to allow the project to be completed in 2027/2027. Note. The second phase of the project will complete the development begun with the first phase of the noise barrier, completed in 2022 on the south side of the highway between Larochelle Boulevard and the Les Galeries Rive-Nord shopping centre.
