The City of Methuen is seeking bids for Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) for the Water Treatment Plant. No bid will be considered which is not accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price - but no less than twenty five hundred dollars ($2,500) - payable to the City of Methuen This bid deposit will become the property of the City if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract. Bid will not be considered if the sign off sheet enclosed in this bid packet is not signed by the City Representative and the Bidder** Bids filled out and left with the deposit as above directed, and no other, will, at the above-named hour and place, be publicly opened and read aloud. The City of Methuen reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding if it is deemed to be in the best interest for the City to do so. No Bid may be withdrawn within 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after the opening of bids. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 30B
