Shortlist Confirmed The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to evaluate and select a Commission Authority (CxA) to assist the Owner in the performance of its obligations and enforcement of its rights during the design and construction of the Library Renovation located at Normandale Community College in Bloomington, MN. Normandale Community College's existing Library building, originally built in 1967 with an addition in 1979, houses more than just the college's resource collection and services. The 62,000 square foot building contains numerous programs including Information Technology Services, TRIO/Upward Bound, Human Resources, Equity & Inclusion, Testing, Academy of Math and Science, faculty offices, classrooms, and standard support spaces. The project will be completed in two phases utilizing a Construction Manager at risk project delivery method. Current funding provides for the design of Phases 1 and 2 through Design Development and the construction of Phase 1. Phase 1 construction includes new vertical circulation and renovations primarily on the first floor. Pending legislative funding in 2024, Phase 2 provides for the completion of the final design documents and the construction of the renovations on the second and third floors.
