Renovation of a mixed-use development in Douglasville, Georgia. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The owner has selected a Design Builder. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Vendor will provide design build services, as well as project management for a renovation to our existing two story atrium. The atrium is currently a large two story open space. We are seeking a design build service to help us remodel to create additional classroom spaces as well as install an elevator in the main building. The current facility is believed to have an existing elevator shaft and pit. We are seeking project completion to be no later than July 25, 2023. Vendors are required to prepare a bid for design build services tailored for the site. The campus of Brighten Academy consists of two buildings, totaling approximately 75,000 square feet. Proposals should include a list of services. Bids must include design services and drawings, proper permitting, meet coed for public schools, and project management through receiving the certificate of occupancy. Vendors are encouraged to request and attend a campus tour to ensure a better understanding of the scope. Estimated budget is $800,000 - $1.4 million. Brighten Academy is soliciting proposals from vendors having specific interest and qualifications in the areas identified in design build services for public schools. Qualification statements and proposals for consideration must contain evidence of the vendor's experience and abilities in the specified area and other disciplines directly related to the proposed work. Other information required includes the submission of profiles and resumes of the staff to be assigned to the projects, references, illustrative examples of similar work performed, bond and insurance information, and any other requested information which will clearly demonstrate the vendor's expertise in the area of this solicitation. A selection committee will review and evaluate all proposals. The selection committee will rely on the proposals in selection of finalists and, therefore, vendors should emphasize specific information considered pertinent to this solicitation and submit all information requested. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
