Renovation of a residential development in New York, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

As of April 17, 2023, project was awarded to NorthValley Construction Inc., awarded amount is $22,720.80. This project is to replace roof and gutters at a residential property. Please see attached RFQ letter and Scope of work (in the documents tab) for general requirements. CR Number: 2094857 The sign in sheet is a separate entity from the resident visitor's log. When signing in, be sure to check the project name listed on the sign in sheet to ensure you are recording your attendance correctly. Failure to do so will cause you to be ineligible to submit a quote. There are no exceptions. Please write clearly for corresponding purposes and make sure you include an email address and phone number where you can be reached. Due to Covid-19, you must wear a face mask and you may be screened prior to entering the site. Late arrivers at the site visit will not be allowed to sign in, participate, nor submit a quote for this project. If you are unable to attend, you will not be allowed to schedule a site visit at a later time. This is an RFQ (request for quotes). This is not an IFB (bid). The Bernard Fineson DDSOO intends to award the contract to the most responsible and responsive vendor that provides the lowest cost and meets the requirements detailed in the scope of work. Upon request, vendor must demonstrate relevant experience on prior projects of similar magnitude and is subject to vendor responsibility determination. Bernard Fineson DDSOO reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. In deciding whether to or not to submit a quote, please be aware the awarded vendor must adhere to the time frames outlined in the scope of work. The awarded vendor will also be required to submit certificates of Liability Insurance and Worker's Compensation Insurance as well as completed Lobbying Law Forms, and Signed Appendix A. Please be prepared to submit these in a timely fashion. The Bernard Fineson DDSOO will make no concessions to the vendor for any alleged misunderstanding or deception because of quantity, quality, character, or other condition. The Bernard Fineson DDSOO's interpretation of specifications shall be final and binding. Please note all staff working at the project site will be required to sign an attendance sheet for record purposes. This includes the residence visitors log and/or an attendance sheet provided by the maintenance department. Prevailing Wages and Certified Payroll: NYS Labor law requires that all contracted employees performing maintenance, repairs or capital improvements in state owned buildings receive the prevailing wage and supplements rate for the occupation in which they are working. If this is a public work contract covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law or a building service contract covered by Article 9 thereof, neither Contractor's employees nor the employees of its subcontractors may be required or permitted to work more than the number of hours or days stated in said statutes, except as otherwise provided in the Labor Law and as set forth in prevailing wage and supplement schedules issued by the State Labor Department. Furthermore, contractor must pay at least the prevailing wage rate or provide the prevailing supplements, including the premium rates for overtime pay, as determined by the State Labor Department in accordance with the Labor Law. NYS law requires the vendor to keep detailed records for each person employed including name, address, telephone number, social security number, occupational classification in which worked, hourly wage rate paid, supplements provided, number of hours worked, and actual wages paid. Certified payroll record/s MUST be submitted at the time of invoicing. Effective April 28, 2008, if this is a public work contract covered by Article 8 of the Labor Law, the contractor understands and agrees that the filing of payrolls in a manner consistent with Subdivision 3-a of Section 220 of the Labor Law shall be a condition precedent to payment by the State of any State approved sums due and owing for work done upon the project. Without submittal of certified payroll record/s, payment will not be made. *If you need any assistance understanding prevailing wages, please contact NYS DOL at (212) 932-2419* Subcontracting: OPWDD does not allow subcontracting on this type of work. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 30% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% (GH 08) Roof and Gutter Replacement). The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 14 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project and prevailing wages are to be paid. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each work day. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of project, before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent. A. Contractor must attend bid meeting to be authorized to bid on job. B. Contractor shall verify the actual measurements and condition of work to be done to ensure a complete job. 1. Contractor to remove existing roofing and remove and replace any damaged roof sheeting. 2. Supply and install ice shield on roof from edge of roof 72" up. 3. Supply and install 30-year asphalt roof shingles with ridge vent and aluminum drip edge. 4. All roof material installation and fastening shall follow manufacturer's specifications. 5. Contractor to remove existing gutters and leaders from home. Contractor to replace gutters and leaders with 4" gutters with leaf guards, leaders, and downspouts. 6. All work to be done to manufacturer's specifications and NYS building codes. 7. Contractor shall complete work within seven days of starting job. 8. Contractor to supply a five-year warranty on all work. 9. Contractor to leave home in broom clean condition at the end of each workday Any vendor questions not asked during the site visit must be submitted in writing to: Brooklyn.CMM.Bids@opwdd.ny.gov (within two business days of the site visit: March 9, 2023).
