The scope of services is for a three (3) year term, with the option of a two (2) year extension for an amount not to exceed $1,200,000 with no guaranteed minimum. This is an on-call contract and all work will be requested by the City in writing (email) and must be responded to in writing (email). The primary objectives of this contract are for hazardous vegetation/fire fuels reduction, enhanced site line visibility, and aesthetics. • Contractor shall disclose to the “City” all labor, materials, equipment, tools, implements, machinery, incidentals, transportation, methods and processes necessary and required for the performance of all hazardous vegetation/fire fuels reduction. • Length of Contract(s) – The work is scheduled to begin on May 22, 2023 and must be completed March 22, 2028. • Site Visit and Investigation - It is the Contractor’s responsibility to make a thorough investigation of the work sites as a basis for the submittal of competitive bids. The Contractor shall examine the locations of the proposed work sites to fully become acquainted with the specifications and the nature of the work to be done. Contractor shall have no claim against the City in the occurrence of inadequate site evaluations. • The primary objectives of this contract are to use manual and powered tools to reduce surface ladder fuels, string trim weeds and grasses to native soil, prune shrubs, cut and thin stands of trees to specifications; chip limbs, bush and trees; and haul debris from sites, prepare and/or amend soil for planting, plant to specifications; all while giving attention to passing pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic.
